Pictometry Online lets you query a location in a GIS layer for the GIS object at or nearest to that location. You can also query a region in a GIS layer for all GIS objects within that region.
To query a location for GIS data:
1 Check the workspace "Queries" layer associated with the kind of data you wish to retrieve (parcel data, road data, waterway data, for example).
2 Click the GIS Query Tool.
3 In your image or map, click on or near the desired location.
Pictometry Online highlights the GIS object (such as a single parcel or a street segment) nearest your click. The object is outlined and shaded in color, and a pop-up lists the GIS data associated with that object.

To query a region for GIS data:

2 Click the GIS Query Tool.
3 In your image or map, click the upper left corner of the rectangular region you wish to query.
The GIS object nearest your click is highlighted, and a pop-up lists that object's GIS data.

Pictometry Online highlights all GIS object within or touching the bounding rectangle you defined. The objects are outlined and shaded in color. (The pop-up showing GIS data for the first location clicked remains on the screen.)
