Pictometry Online provides tools for annotating images with text, lines, shapes, circles, or markers (icons). You might use annotations to identify a staging area for emergency planning and management, or to describe the parts of an image for presentation purposes. The Toolbar contains tools for each type of annotation.
Note: You can also use annotation tools to measure objects in images. For example, you can use the Circle Tool to both draw a circle and measure its radius, circumference, and area.
Default settings determine the annotation properties (such as font, color, line weight, and scale). You can easily change the default properties as needed. You can also change annotation properties after creating the annotation.
Annotations are stored in the Workspace panel. By default, they are placed into the Annotations folder. However, you can create workspace folders in which to store your annotations.
Tip: After you've selected an annotation tool, you can quickly pan the image by holding down the SPACEBAR. See "Panning while a tool is active."
