The Text Tool
The Text Tool places the text you enter on the image at the location you click.
Note: To change the default text color before creating the text annotation, click the Line color button (or click Preferences->Defaults tab).
To annotate an image with text:
1 Click the Text Tool. The cursor changes to a crosshair.
2 Click the location in the image at which to place the text. A dialog box opens.
3 Type the text you want to add.
4 Click OK.
The text you typed is placed on the image in the location you clicked. The annotation is listed as "Text" in the default annotations folder in the Workspace panel along with a small square showing the text color. The properties for the annotation come from application settings ("Preferences" button, "Defaults" tab). For example, the text color comes from "Line Color." You can change an annotation's properties (text, color, font, size, and description in the Workspace panel) at any time by using the Properties panel.
