Measuring slope

You'll use the Elevation Tool to measure the change in elevation between a starting location and an ending location.

To measure the change in elevation:

1   Click the Elevation Tool.

2   Hold down CTRL, then hold down the left mouse button on the starting location.

3   Drag the mouse along the slope to the ending location.

4   Release both the CTRL key and the mouse button at the slope's ending location.

The difference in elevation is shown in the default unit of measure on the Status Bar.
