Extracting part of an image
Pictometry Online lets you extract and download a portion of the image shown in the Image window by drawing a rectangle around that part of the image. The extracted image is saved in the default format (JPEG, GIF, or PNG).
Note: To change the default format, click Preferences->Options tab.
To extract a portion of the image currently in view:
1 Click the Extract Tool.
2 Drag from one corner of the rectangle to be extracted, diagonally to the opposite corner. Release the mouse button. This defines the rectangle to be extracted.
3 Save the file to your hard drive. (Depending on your browser, the button might be called "Save" or "Save to Disk.")
4 Note the name of the folder to which the file will be downloaded. (Your browser might automatically save the file to the "Desktop" folder, or it might allow you to navigate and choose the folder to download the file to.)
5 When the download is complete, close any open download dialog boxes.
