Deleting workspace items

Pictometry Online lets you delete workspace items that you have added (such as folders, annotations, and bookmarks) and items that your System Administrator has added (such as GIS layers).

Important:  It is not recommended that you delete GIS layers.

Before deleting an annotation, it's helpful to view it in the Image window to be sure you are deleting the correct one. When you right-click the annotation in the workspace, if the annotation is visible, Pictometry Online uses a visual cue to identify the annotation on the image. If it is not visible, then double-click its name in the workspace. Pictometry Online scrolls the image so that the annotation is centered in the Image window.

To delete a workspace item:

1   Do one of the following:

-- Click the item in the workspace and then either press the DELETE key or click the Delete item from workspace button (on the workspace toolbar).

- or -

-- Right-click the annotation in the Workspace panel and select Delete from the context menu.

A pop-up appears, from which you can cancel the deletion.

2   Click Yes to proceed with the deletion, or No to cancel.

If you clicked "Yes," the item is deleted from the workspace. If the item is visible in the Image window, the contents of the Image window are redrawn to exclude the deleted item.
