Viewing Control Label contents

A Control Label is a name given to a group of image libraries or elevation files. A label might contain one or multiple files of the given type (image library or elevation). For image libraries, labels provide a handy way to grant access to a group of image libraries, and are the only way to grant access to restricted libraries. Labels are also handy when you need to limit access to some libraries and grant access to others. For elevation data, labels enable you to grant access to elevation files associated with image libraries.

Before assigning Control labels for image libraries or elevation files, it is helpful to see what the Control labels contain. Use the following procedures to see which image libraries or elevation files are contained in a Control Label for the currently selected organization.

To view the libraries contained in a Control Label:

  1. In the Action Panel, click View Custom Label Contents. The View Custom Labels page opens.
  2. Select the Control Label whose contents you wish to view from the list titled "Select Existing Control Labels" (the first list).

The image libraries contained in the selected Control Label are listed under "Control Labels."

To assign an image library control label to an organization, see Assigning library restrictions.

To view the elevation files contained in a Control Label:

  1. In the Action Panel, click View Custom Label Contents. The View Custom Labels page opens.
  2. Select the Control Label whose contents you wish to view from the list titled "Select Existing Elevation Control Labels" (the second list).

The elevation files contained in the selected Control Label are listed under "Elevation Control Labels."

To assign an elevation control label to an organization, see Assigning access to elevation data.
