The Imaging application records your image viewing history when you do any of the following:
NOTE: Although your imagery appears to be seamless, it is actually composed of multiple separate images. By default, when you pan an image, the Imaging application automatically and seamlessly scrolls to the next adjacent image when it reaches the edge of the current image. If the Auto Navigate option on the Advanced tab of the Preferences dialog is checked, imagery appears seamless and the edges of your images are not apparent.
NOTE: Panning within the current image does not affect your image viewing history. You must pan to a different image for the Imaging application to record the new image.
