The Imaging application can display graphic data stored in KML (Keyhole Markup Language) files over your imagery. To display data from a KML file, you'll need to import it as a layer. You can import of type KML or KMZ (zipped kml) from a URL or from your local machine. Your files can include custom placemark attributes. When you import the KML file, it is stored in your workspace.
NOTE: You can import a KML file that is 2 MB or smaller, however, your browser performance might be slower as the file size approaches 2 MB.
To import a KML file:
. The Load KML File dialog opens. The KML file is imported and added to the default annotations folder in your workspace.
If you import a KMZ file, The Imaging application creates a new annotations sub-folder, named for the imported KMZ file, and lists its features underneath it. The new sub-folder is added under the default annotations folder.
